NEWCASTLE & HOUSTON, March 25, 2025 — TechnipFMC has been awarded a major integrated Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Installation (iEPCI™) contract by Shell for its Gato do Mato greenfield development offshore Brazil worth more than USD 1 Billion.

iEPCITM is TechnipFMC’s unique approach to subsea developments, which integrates SPS and SURF offerings, from design to life of field services. TechnipFMC said that the company is the only subsea provider with the capability to integrate the subsea production system (SPS) and subsea umbilicals, risers and flowlines (SURF) scopes. This allows the company to efficiently execute an integrated engineering, procurement, construction and installation (iEPCI™) campaign and deliver and manage a fully integrated subsea system, providing superior services for the life of the field (iLoF®).
In addition to integrated execution, the project will utilize Subsea 2.0® configure-to-order (CTO) subsea production systems. Combining both offerings will enable streamlined project management through a single interface and accelerate time to first oil. TechnipFMC said that Subsea 2.0® is an industrialized and standardized pre-engineered configurable product offering. This approach provides simplification of unique project requirements to a Configured-to-Order (CTO) flexible suite of product offerings.

Jonathan Landes, President, Subsea at TechnipFMC commented: “Throughout our 30-year partnership with Shell, we have built an overwhelmingly strong record of delivery. Our success in integrating and industrializing innovative solutions gives us the utmost confidence in providing the schedule certainty Shell requires for this flagship project offshore Brazil.”
