Yokohama, Japan – JGC Holdings Corporation is pleased to announce that, through its local subsidiary JGC France SAS, the company has been awarded a preliminary contract for a Floating Liquefied Natural Gas (FLNG) project in Africa.
The contract, effective until September 30, 2025, will be executed as part of a joint venture in which JGC France SAS is participating. The total contract value for the joint venture is approximately USD 550 million.
This award covers preliminary activities related to the engineering, procurement, and construction of the FLNG unit. A full-scale EPCIC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Installation, and Commissioning) contract is expected to follow.
Africa is a key growth market for JGC group, and through the successful execution of this project, we aim to contribute to the region’s industrial development and the improvement of local infrastructure.
