Tupi Field Reaches New Production Milestone

Petrobras operated Tupi field has reached a new milestone, hitting 2.6 billion boe production after its first production in May 2009.

Tupi is the first pre-salt to come into operation and is today’s Brazil largest production field, producing on average 850,000 boepd.

The Tupi reservoir is located at a total depth of up to 7000 meters, with 3000 meters of rock, 2000 meters of salt and on top of 2000 meters of water depth.

Tupi is operated by Petrobras, in partnership with Shell Brasil Petróleo Ltda and Petrogal Brasil S.A.
