Roles & Responsibilities

The trader has a main purpose to maximise profitability from trading of LNG and Middle Distillates products by making, positioning, and trading within approved limit, and policies and procedures, and carry out the policy plans and strategies outlined by the Head of Petroleum Products Trading.


• Analyse market situation, trends, supply, demand, environmental factors.

• Establish close relationship with potential suppliers and buyers.

• Manage import/export/out-out trading of LNG and all Middle Distillates products.

• Coordinate with the Group's Gas Business Unit to create LNG value optimization.

• Manage Long/Short position for both short term and long term contracts while also seek value-added activities such as location swap and co-loading.

• Increase and expand out-out trading of LNG and Gasoil/Jet A-1 to various locations such as Europe, Middle East, Africa, North/South Asia.

• Operate in accordance with work procedure in line with the HQ policy, business plan (target), rules and regulations.

• Source for LNG and Gasoil/Jet A-1 to supply for the Group both within and outside Thailand.

• Manage trading resources such as time chartered contract, storage facilities and inventory for value maximization.

• Cooperate with related internal and external parties systematically regarding significant concerns i.e. risk management, accounting & financial, operations.

Synergize international trading business with HQ to maximize profit to the Group.



Requirements:

• Bachelor Degree or Master Degree in Engineering, Science, Economics, Business Management, Marketing, Finance or relevant field of study.

• At least 10 years of experience in Petroleum Products Trading.

• At least 4 years of experience working in Energy Business.

• Good understanding of Petroleum Products Trading and International Trading.

• Good in negotiation and coordination with counterparties and related parties.

• Proficiency in Thai language will be an advantage as the incumbent needs to work closely with Thai-speaking parties.

• Good in problem solving and decision making.

• Travel is required.
