Maintenance Reliability Turnaround (MRTA) is about understanding and maintaining our equipment as effectively and efficiently as possible, making sure it performs as intended. The Turnaround discipline covers the development of Turnaround strategies and the planning, coordinating and execution of Pitstop/Turnaround events (including the financial and people aspects and scheduling).
What’s the role?
You will be responsible for development of detailed planning and scheduling deliverables for a single/multiple TA block work scope and CAPEX Projects. More specifically:
- Field verification of work described in approved work scope submissions and developing detailed Primavera work scope activities, with craft type and estimated hours, coding requirements etc.
- Ensuring work plans developed by craft and operations planners are fit for purpose and are integrated into the overall project file with correct coding etc.
- Leading junior planners to ensure project scope is fully integrated into a single block plan within Primavera.
- Developing and integrating added/found addendum and discovery work into Primavera schedule.
- Assessing the job to understand the optimal plan to achieve turnaround premises including low cost and safety performance.
- Ensuring the environmental plan (waste disposal, frac tanks, vac trucks, etc.) is developed.
- Creating bill of material for assigned work, requisitions material and ensures all material is delivered before feed-out of unit.
- Assembling work packages with detailed information for planning and execution.
- Identification, review, and escalation of high-risk activities.
- Preparing logistics plan for assigned area.
- Ensuring compliance to plant orders, policies and procedures including, but not limited to Downstream One, MOC, quality, and Work List Revision processes.
- Loading schedule logic to efficiently execute scope of work and resource levels the plan.
- Working with the Master Scheduler to optimize the master schedule.
- Completing the estimate of Direct Field Labor hours, overheads, materials, and equipment for assigned area.
- Communicating key issues and risks to the TA/Pit Stop Lead and TAC (Turnaround and Construction) Manager.
- Updating of the schedule during Pre / Execution / Post phases for assigned Pitstop/TA block.
- Management of turnaround files and records.
- Providing a critique of turnaround activities after completion of project, participates in Lessons Learned and Lookback process.
- Mindfully looking for opportunities to optimize turnaround scope, and plan and execute with low-cost mindset.
We are keen to speak to professionals with the following competencies:
- 5 Years + Experience in executing turnarounds
- 5 Years + Experience in planning turnaround work
- Supervisory skills in managing crafts
- Customer focus (operations)
- Computer skills - PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, Primavera, Visio, GSAP / SAP
- A minimum of 1 year experience and intermediate skill level in scheduling using Primavera
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Works effectively in a Team environment and build consensus
