Deep Sea Management AS is looking for SubSea Engineers who are motivated to facilitate and contribute to the Company's growth.




QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Mechanical/ hydraulic engineering education is recommended. Preferably an engineering degree. Extensive work experience can replace formal education.
Documented all-round experience from maintenance of subsea Well control systems/pressure control equipment, motion compensating equipment, and has been in a subsea engineer position for at least 3 years.
Good English communication skills, both oral and written.
Sufficient computer skills.
Valid well control certificate, in accordance with Client requirements/minimum level 2.
Completed Systematic Training Program (OJT) for position.
Crew will mobilize out of Bergen / Stavanger



DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervise Assistant Subsea engineers and Trainee Subsea engineers, according to the Odfjell Core values and procedures and following the instructions of the Senior Subsea Engineer.
Perform maintenance/repairs to the well control, motion compensating systems and all associated systems as per Odfjell maintenance program and procedures.
Daily inspections to verify status of equipment and report status to supervisor.
Adhere to the Odfjell Procedures and Core Values and familiarize himself/herself with these.
Obtain a good knowledge of the systems on-board, by studying manuals and participating in courses. To be able to maintain and operate all subsea related equipment.
Troubleshoot equipment failure in cooperation with supervisor.
Assist drill crew when required, during for example landing wellhead tools, Well control drills, Well control situations, etc.
Participate in making/updating procedures.
Ensure that housekeeping is up to Odfjell standard.
Assist supervisor with planning ahead for upcoming operations and maintenance periods.
Participate in operational and safety meetings.
Participate in safety drills and perform the tasks specified on the station bill.
Complete all training specified in the Odfjell training matrix.
Ensure that the Odfjell procedures are followed for any changes/modifications to the systems.
The Subsea Engineer is responsible for ensuring that the well control systems, motion compensating systems auxiliary systems are in working order and keep the systems maintained at the required level.
The Subsea Engineer is responsible for reporting to the Senior Subsea Engineer any faults, defects and irregularities relating to well control systems, motion compensating systems auxiliary systems.
