Unread post by escveritas »

The Grevling field, discovered in 2009 by well 15/12-21 and sidetrack 21A. The field was appraised in 2010 by well 15/12-23 and sidetrack 23A. The water depth in the area is approximately 85 metres. The reservoir depth is approximately 3100 m TVD MSL. Three 3D seismic surveys, respectively from 2005, 2010 and 2012, are available, together with cores and fluid samples. Three DSTs have been run. OKEA holds a 35 per cent interest in Grevling and is the operator for the field.

Development
OKEA has an ambition to develop the Grevling discovery as a serial development. Serial development is based on utilizing the same production facility on several marginal fields that are put in series. Current serial development concept is a new build Cefront 500N FPSO with Subsea on a Stick (SoS) wellhead platform.

Reservoir
The discovery is situated above a large salt structure. The reservoir contains oil in sandstone of Late Triassic to Middle Jurassic age in the Skagerrak, Bryne, Sleipner and Hugin Formations. Various options are being evaluated for a combined development with the adjacent 15/12-18 S (Storskrymten) discovery.

Recovery
The field will be produced by pressure support from water injection. Artificial lift by gas lift.

Transport
The oil will be transported with tankers and the gas will be reinjected.

Status
The field is under development. PDO is expected at end 2022.
