Stena Drilling announced that they have signed a new contract with Tullow Oil Suriname BV for the rig Stena Forth to drill 1 well in Block-47, offshore Suriname. The well could very well be the Golaithberg-1 well at Block 47.

The block-47 offshore Suriname forms part of the Suriname-Guyana Basin; located approximately 260 km north of the coast of Suriname.

Stena Forth will mobilise to Suriname in late December 2020/early January 2021 with a planned campaign commencement in January/February 2021.

Stena Drilling are pleased to announce that a contract has been signed with CNOOC International Petroleum North America ULC, utilising Mobile Offshore Drilling Unit (MODU) #StenaForth.

The drilling program shall be a one (1) well campaign lasting approximately 90 days offshore #newfoundlandandlabrador in the #FlemishPass. #StenaForth shall mobilise to #Canada with an estimated commencement between April and June 2021.

The region is classified as harsh environment, with water depths ranging from 330 meters to 1,200 meters and unpredictable weather conditions. #StenaForth’s ability for station keeping is essential to allow a safe and efficient completion of the program.

We believe our reputation for #Care, #Innovation and #Performance in everything we do has propelled us to the front for this work, and we look forward to working with CNOOC International to complete this campaign.

NEW CONTRACT IN EGYPT FOR STENA FORTH

STENA DRILLING IS PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE THAT WE HAVE SIGNED A NEW CONTRACT WITH BG DELTA LIMITED & BG INTERNATIONAL LIMITED SUBSIDIARIES OF SHELL PLC (SHELL) FOR THE MOBILE OFFSHORE DRILLING UNIT (MODU) STENA FORTH.

The operations for Stena Forth in Egypt are due to commence in 2023 upon completion of existing contractual commitments. The Shell exploration project will entail 3 well drills in the Mediterranean. The project will require Managed Pressure Drilling (MPD) utilising the system owned and installed by Stena Drilling on the Stena Forth.

Stena Drilling is delighted to secure further work with Shell and looks forward to working with Shell to complete a safe, effective and efficient campaign.

STENA DRILLING SECURES 1-WELL FIRM PROGRAMME WITH ENERGEAN FOR STENA FORTH IN MOROCCO

STENA DRILLING IS PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE THE AWARD OF A 1-WELL FIRM PROGRAMME FOR THE STENA FORTH, FOR FORMER CLIENT, ENERGEAN, IN MOROCCO. THE DRILLING CAMPAIGN IS SCHEDULED TO COMMENCE IN Q3 2024 AND INCLUDES THE FLEXIBILITY TO DRILL AN ADDITIONAL OPTION WELL IN MOROCCO.

The Stena Forth, a state-of-the-art harsh environment dynamically positioned drillship, will be deployed to execute the firm drilling programme, demonstrating Stena Drilling’s commitment to delivering high-quality services to its clients in challenging offshore environments. This will be the third vessel in the Stena Drilling fleet that Energean have contracted with the Stena DrillMAX and Stena IceMAX having previously completed successful campaigns for Energean.

Stena Drilling have a proven track record of operating in Morocco having drilled in the country previously with the Stena Don for Chariot, who are a partner on this well, and we look forward to returning to the Anchois field for Energean later this year.
