VALARIS DS-15 (ex. Rowan Renaissance) has been awarded a contract with Total offshore Brazil with an expected duration of 400 days from June 2021 to August 2022.

HAMILTON, Bermuda--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Valaris Limited (NYSE: VAL) (“Valaris” or the “Company”) announced today new contracts and contract extensions, with associated contract backlog of $466 million, awarded subsequent to issuing the Company’s most recent fleet status report on May 2, 2022. Contract backlog excludes lump sum payments such as mobilization fees and capital reimbursements.

Contract extension with TotalEnergies EP Brasil offshore Brazil for drillship VALARIS DS-15. The option is in direct continuation of the current firm program.

Valaris has announced that Priced option has been exercised by TotalEnergies EP Brasil offshore Brazil for drillship VALARIS DS-15. Following the exercise of this priced option, the rig is expected to be under contract through second quarter 2024. There are no further options remaining under this contract. The operating day rate for the option period, which has an estimated duration of 100 days, is approximately $254,000.
