Northwest Natuna Block has an area of 461 km2 and lies 260 km (145 Nautical Miles) NNW of Matak in the Anambas Islands. Northwest Natuna is 510 km NE of Singapore and Batam, and 1,300 km north of Jakarta.



The Northwest Natuna PSC was signed on the 12 Dec 2004 by Genting with a 30-year term. It was acquired by Prima Energi on the 13 July 2023. Prima Energi is currently revising the plan of development and the PSC terms.

The Northwest Natuna Block contains the AAL Oilfield – approved by Migas for development in 2011 – but Prima Energi have a new staged development plan that will reduce costs and risks and achieve maximum value.

ANDE ANDE LUMUT (AAL) : OILFIELD APPRAISAL


The AAL Oilfield is a seahorse-shaped accumulation, approximately 8 km N-S x 4 km E-W, divided into southern, central and northern segments.

Four wells have delineated the discovery. AAL-1X was drilled in 2000, AAL-2XR and -3X were drilled in 2006, and AAL-4X in 2016.

PRIMA ENERGI SIGNS NEW SALES AND PURCHASE AGREEMENT (SPA) CONTRACT



Jakarta, Mei 11, 2023 – Prima Energi officially signed New Sales and Purchase Agreement (SPA) for a Ande Ande Lumut (AAL) Oilfield. AAL is one of the largest undeveloped oil discoveries in Indonesia, Approved for development by Migas in 2011. It is now an important part of their 2030 production targets. Located in shallow water (~70 m) of Northwest Natuna, at depths of ~1,100 m

The signing of this agreement between the two companies is related to the takeover of the Ande Lumut (AAL) Oilfield. The contract covers various aspects, including well drilling, existing field development, infrastructure upgrades and production operations optimization. Prima Energi will continue to pay close attention to new developments and implement best practices in terms of work safety and the environment.
